CJ HENDRY
There are those artists that take you by surprise from the very first moment. CJ Hendry is one of those. When I used to do art, I was fascinated about the technique that she is using, which is pencil/pen work by bringing out light and shadows in its smallest detail. And she mixes all that by portraying every day objects also mixed within details of the luxury. The result? Stunning! Her attention to detail is fabolous. I will definitely try to use her work for one of my interior design projects.
Take a look at this small video where you can see her work come alive.

STAGE DESIGN
The trend is there and we know it. A catwalk is no longer only a promenade for a model exhibiting an outfit - its an artistic expression also for the stage designer / artist behind it. And there are those few fashion houses that want to hear from their audience not only 'WOW - what a dress' but also 'WOW - what a show'. And if there is one fashion maison that knows how to nail it up to date - it is KENZO.
SAKIR GOKCEBAG
How expressive exactly is this installation? And who would have ever come up with an idea to use toilet paper rolls to create such a three dimensional effect. Well the turkish, at the moment hamburg based artist Sakir Gokcebag is ironic enough to come up something so original. His works are very witty.

MIA PEARLMAN
Mia Pearlman is an installation artist and she creates these paper installations where she depicts imaginary weather systems that appear there in fron of your eyes frozen in time. I find them very beautiful and I would really like to see them in real life. They are great for theatre stages or shop window visual design.

MAKOTO TOJIKI
Makoto Tojiki is an industrial designer who over the last years has become more of an artist that uses light as his main instrument of expression. Such brands as HERMES has used his creativity for various events and shop openings. The horse in the movement is fantastic. Also FENDI could use this one for a shop window design. :)

MICHAEL ELMGREEN & INGAR DRAGSET desert installation
After reading an article with Miuccia Prada - a lady whos thoughts you will seldomly see expressed in a magazine interview, I realised what a character that woman is. She really has her own voice, and a very strong one as well. But her lasting opinion on things made me go back in time and remember this art installation Prada Marfa from 2005 in Texas. I am not going to tell you the whole story behind this art work, if you don't know it then go check it out, but why I am posting this, because I find it a truly genious piece and the fact that Prada agreed to participate in this installation makes me appreciate more and more their open mindness towards fashion, art and not always taking life too seriously but definately with a great dose of respect and professionality.
Looking for info on the installation I came across this picture which I think is super nice. It is by Roger Kisby and you can find it on Flickr.

MARTIN CREED
Ever since doing a design project in university with neon lights, I have somehow stayed very loyal to them, as in they always capture my attention. Martin Creed is not the only artist who uses neon light writings in his expressions, but I am really liking the works above and I would not mind one of these pieces on the wall in my home. His works are very different, so you can check some more on his personal website.
